The Black Women’s Health Imperative (Imperative) invites you to submit an abstract to present a workshop at our national conference on the state of “Black Women’s Health,” on Friday, June 20, 2008, in Washington, D.C. A special and informative part of our 25th Anniversary Celebration.
Join more than 1,500 Black women, government officials and health and health care professionals, including practitioners, advocates, educators and researchers, in the debate and discussion on the unequal health burdens borne by Black women in three health areas that impact Black women disproportionately: mental health, HIV/AIDS and overweight and obesity.
The Black Women’s Health Conference is a key attraction of our three-day, 25th Anniversary Celebration that begins on Thursday, June 19, with a fundraising gala, and concludes on Saturday, June 21, with a "free" Walking for Wellness™ 5K on the National Mall. Full registration to enjoy the entire celebration is available.
