On Saturday November 1st, the Corona Chapter launched its reading nook at Planet Hair in Corona, CA complete with books for boys and girls, as well as, free publications for parents that support the development of reading and other literacy skills at home. The new book nook is part of Boys/Girls Booked on Beauty/Barbershops (BG-BOB), a growing national initiative that takes advantage of naturally occurring opportunities in the community to foster a love of reading. BG-BOB reading nooks have debuted in more than 100 barbershops across the country, from California to Florida.
