Join the Phoenix, AZ Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc. at their B-BOB reading nook launch. Open to the Public.

Mocha Moms, Inc., a national support organization for stay-at-home mothers of color, and The National Institute for Literacy, a U.S. federal agency, has launched an innovative partnership to support early literacy and help foster a love for books and reading.  New book nooks will be unveiled at barbershops across the country as part of the Boys Booked on Barbershops (B-BOB) and Girls Booked on Beauty Shops (G-BOB), a growing national initiative launched in 2004 that takes advantage of naturally occuring opportunities in the community to foster a love of reading.

Please join them for this important community service initiative to support child literacy. The Mocha Moms Phoenix Chapter has created a book nook for boys and girls so that they can read while waiting to receive hair services.  The Mocha Moms will conduct the ribbon cutting ceremony and local media will be in attendance.  Please come out and help us celebrate.  They will have a playgroup with their children right after the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Special thanks to
Ageez Hair Center  for taking part in this initiative and promoting reading and literacy to all of the children that enter this business.
