Virginia Mocha Mom Featured on The Nate Berkus Show

National talk show redesigns living space in Fredericksburg, Va. home

Fredericksburg, Va. – October 1 - Wycessa "Penny" Smalls, a member of the Fredericksburg, Virginia Mocha Moms chapter, will be featured Monday, October 4th on The Nate Berkus Home Design TV Show, a new, nationally syndicated talk show hosted by the award winning decorator. Nate Berkus was a regularly featured design expert for The Oprah Winfrey Show from 2002 -2010, completing 127 design makeovers.

The Smalls family was selected to be part of a show about couples with design dilemmas. As part of the show, two rooms in their Fredericksburg home, the living and dining rooms, were redesigned by 2010 Design Star Show Winner, Emily Henderson.  For two days, Ms. Henderson and a production crew took over the Smalls’ home, while the family relocated to an area hotel. Parts of their house were completely covered so the family would be surprised. The family travelled to New York to tape a segment of the show on September 21 and the big reveal took place.

“We were treated like royalty by Nate's staff; and we are completely in love with the new transformation of our home,” says Ms. Smalls.
