NJ-Passaic County Black Maternal Health Week

The Passaic County, NJ Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc. is proud to join forces with My Kota Bear, Inc., United Passaic Organization, Partnership for Maternal and Child Health, National Pan-Hellenic Council of Passaic County, GirlTrek, and Phiara Moore of WHAT! (Women’s Health Advocacy & Training) to bring awareness to Black Maternal Health Week. Together, we are creating space for education, advocacy, and community. Throughout the week, women will share their personal stories, helping to amplify real experiences and bring visibility to the challenges Black mothers face. We will also provide critical information on Maternal Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), ensuring families have access to knowledge and support. Our collective efforts will extend into the community as we come together to support mothers and families across Passaic County through a collaborative baby shower, providing resources, care, and connection. As we stand in unity, we honor, uplift, and advocate for Black mothers, because they deserve to be seen, heard, supported, and celebrated.
