COVID-19 Waiver

COVID-19 is a deadly pandemic that has affected many Americans. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has informed the public that the disease is “primarily transmitted from person-to-person through respiratory droplets . . . released when someone with COVID-19 sneezes, coughs, or talks.” To ensure the safety of its members and their loved ones, the National Board of Mocha Moms, Inc. issued a directive on June 6, 2020 that “Due to COVID-19, all chapters must cease all in person events until further notice and continue social distancing.” Accordingly, effective June 6, 2020, until further notice, Mocha Moms, Inc, and its chapter, state, regional, and national leaders shall not be legally responsible in any way for the transmission of the COVID-19 virus alleged by anyone to have occurred during any in-person event or gathering of members of Mocha Moms, Inc.  Please note that this waiver should not be interpreted as giving permission to Mocha Moms, Inc. chapters to sponsor in-person gatherings or events. By agreeing to join Mocha Moms, Inc, you acknowledge that you are aware of, and consent to, this waiver of liability and understand that members could be subject to removal by the National Board for noncompliance.
