Mochas on the Green Overview

Since 2021, The LPGA has been promoted to our community in various ways.

• Press release, virtual open house, eblasts and social media efforts in 2021 to launch our partnership.
• LPGA Sponsor of Mocha Moms 2021 Virtual National Conference.
• Inclusion in our 2022 Mocha Monday e-blasts in regard to connecting our chapters with the pros across the country.
• Highlighted during our 2022 25th Anniversary Celebration at the Gaylord Resort in Maryland on September 17th with the video presentation that included a video from LPGA Foundation Sr. Director of Community and Inclusion, Laura Diaz.
• Last September, The LPGA invited Mochas to the Solheim Cup in VA.
• In 2023, MOCHAS ON THE GREEN was created.

If your chapter is located in the following states: CA, GA, IL, MD, NC, TX, and VA

• A few years ago, The LPGA created a Directory for Mochas Moms to provide us with Black professional golfers that have agreed to work with our chapters. Currently, it includes a limited number of markets and based on the chapters' feedback, needs to be updated. So they're working on it. In the meantime, please use this: https://professionals.lpga.com/find-a-teacher/find
• If your chapter is located elsewhere, contact your local golf clubs.
•  Determine what type of event your chapter will host.

2025 CONTEST GOAL:

To work with an LPGA professional and/or golf club (indoors or outdoors) to host an event with the most participation and creativity.

To qualify, a minimum attendance of 10 is required. You can invite friends, family and/or the community. Pictures and write-ups must be submitted by October 30, 2025.

• First Place - $500
• Second Place - $350
• Third Place - $200

Other ways to support the partnership:

• When an LPGA professional reaches out to your chapter, you must respond within 24 hours. Through follow-up with the LPGA professionals, we’re being told that chapters are not responding.
• Check www.lpga.com and www.lpgaamateurs.com for local events that your chapter may want to participate in or leverage for your event.
• Encourage your Mochas to expose their children to the game through LPGA*USGA Girls Golf and/or local club events.
• To join the LPGA Amateur Family Virtual Community for free, please see below.
• Please keep us informed about your golfing event, take pictures, and upload them, along with your write-up, to the DropBox. We’ll share them with the LPGA and the rest of our community.
