Bio: Irene Tucker, Homeschool Network Director

Irene Monroe Tucker was born and raised in Huntsville Alabama. She graduated from Oakwood University with a BA in music and Alabama A&M University with a master's degree in music education. Irene is a stay at home mother and has been a homeschooling mom for 11 years. She and her husband frequently speak and teach about homeschooling, family life, and education at national homeschooling conventions. Irene is currently on the CHEF of Alabama board and is the Homeschool Legal Defense Association Foundation representative for Alabama. Irene also is a National Piano Guild judge and has been teaching music for over 20 years. In addition she serves as the artistic director and founder of a music co-op.

Irene has served as President, Program Director, and Protocol Chair for the Greater Huntsville, Alabama chapter of Jack and Jill of America and was previously the Vice President of the Madison County, Alabama Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc.

Irene and her husband, Augustus S. Tucker II, live in Huntsville, Alabama with their 5 children.
